Nepal – Chaos to Community™ Program – June 2011

Nepal_MapNepal_FlagCommunities Without Boundaries International in partnership with The National Peace Campaign in Nepal will convene a series of nonviolence and peacebuilding training and dialogue for community leaders in Kathmandu, Nepal from June 1-5, 2011.

The purpose of this engagement is (1) to provide leadership and nonviolence training to youth and community leaders, and (2) to develop collaborative network opportunities for future interventions.

Key elements of the Program include training in:

  • Nonviolence training (community leaders, NGOs and INGOs)
  • Civil society and youth dialogue (youth and civil society)

Kathmandu, 5th- June-2012: A training for international peace, non-violence and peace building training was held in Kathmandu Nagarkot for seven days.

One of the International non- governmental organizations called Communities Without Boundaries International from USA organized the program with sponsorship from US Embassy in Nepal. Several Youth Without Boundaries members, including those from Nepal. India, Kenya, Sri Lanka , Lebanon , Bosnia and USA participated along with 30 person from different sector in Nepal. Youth activist, human right activist directly participanted in that training program, including Deepak Das a program coordinator of youth Action Nepal and Youth Without Boundaries member. Mr. Johnny Mack and Dr. Maneska Eliatamby from USA carried out the training. Mr. shyam Adhikari (COCAP) member said that the training provided Nepali youths various knowledge. At the end of the trainng, Youth Withthout Boundaries members from Nepal and their international counterparts traveled to Ratanpuri and Dhading District to carry out peace innovative and development programs. The Nepali youth team form Kathamndu, Dhangadi, Jhapa, Morang and Birgunj district are planning to do peace community projects across Nepal.
